Saints and Arahants, awakened beings, have always been with us to guide our way and
help us through this life. These sculptures are my way of thanking these people for their
courage and compassion.
Those who knew them personally find these sculptures a way to remember the love and
clarity of their presence. For the rest of us these sculptures provide a glimpse of the
peace, the depth, the intelligence and the love that is possible in this life.
Religious organizations seeking sculptures, either of individuals or of inspiring figurative
themes are encouraged to contact me to discuss commissioning a work that will uplift
and inspire.

Neem Karoli Baba -- Maharajji, as he was known to his followers, or Baba -- inspired teacher to Indians and a
small number of westerners such as Ram Dass, Krishna Das and Bhagavan Das, lived a life of love and
service. His advice to followers: "Feed people", and his signature gesture: forefinger raised and waving in the
air, reminding us that we are all one.
Read about him in Be Here Now or Miracle of Love, by Ram Dass. Hear devotional chants to him on CDs by
Krishna Das and Bhagavan Das.

John Calvin Seal
This sculpture of a hand holding a
heart aflame was commissioned by
a leading seminary in the
southeastern U.S. as an award to be
given out to friends of the seminary. It
is my sculptural interpretation of the
traditionally graphic/symbolic John
Calvin Seal. A particular challenge
was creating flame on the heart --
after many experiments, I settled on
the bas-relief as the best way to
signify flame. Private commission,
NFS.
Swami Vishnu-devananda
Swami Vishnu-devananda studied under Swami
Sivananda in India in the 1950s, and was sent by his
teacher to share the gift of yoga with the world. The
organization he founded, International Sivananda Yoga
Vedanta Centers, now has some 30 ashrams and
urban teaching centers with 20 additional affiliates
throughout Europe, North and South America, the
Middle East and India.
Witty, articulate, loving, passionate in the cause of
Peace, this charismatic and accomplished yogi began
the first yoga teacher's training course in the west,
which now has thousands of graduates. He bridged
ancient and modern ways, becoming known as the
"Flying Swami" for flying his Peter Max-decorated plane
into world trouble spots. Risking his life in some
cases, he would throw out flower petals or pamphlets
urging peaceful resolution in such conflict-ridden spots
as Belfast, Berlin and the Suez Canal.
Swami Vishnu-devananda authored several books,
including the best-selling classic Complete Illustrated
Guide to Yoga.
