Saints and Arahants, awakened beings, have always been with us to guide our way and help
us through this life.
Those who knew them personally find these sculptures a way to remember the love and
clarity of their presence. For the rest of us these sculptures may provide a glimpse of the
peace, the depth, the intelligence and the love that is possible in this life.
Religious organizations seeking sculptures, either of individuals or of inspiring figurative

Neem Karoli Baba -- Maharajji, as he was known to his
followers, or Baba -- inspired teacher to Indians and a
small number of westerners such as Ram Dass,
Krishna Das and Bhagavan Das, lived a life of love and
service. His advice to followers: "Feed people", and his
signature gesture: forefinger raised and waving in the air,
reminding us that we are all one.

John Calvin Seal
This sculpture of a hand holding a heart aflame was commissioned by a leading
seminary for use as an award.
It is my sculptural interpretation of the traditionally graphic/symbolic John Calvin
Seal. A particular challenge was creating flame on the heart -- after many
experiments, I settled on the bas-relief. Private commission, NFS. 9" x 7" x 7" +
base.

Man #8 New 7/2007,evoking both a crucifixion and
resurrection. Raku clay piece was created, then cut into
fragments and bisque fired. The pieces were then raku
fired and re-assembled, showing the rich range of
resulting surface colors and textures resulting in pieces
in the same kiln and reduction. Reassembled and

New 5/2008 -- Mahatma Gandhi. This sculpture was
created to give a relatively new pose for a Gandhi
sculpture -- most sculptures of him are in standing
poses from the Salt March. I thought of him as a
contemporary buddha, and sought to place him in a
pose reminiscent of traditional buddha postures.
